L J Eliz – What’s in my Lydia Elise Millen X Elizabeth Arden Makeup Bag?
Pictured above is the beautiful Lydia Elise Millen X Elizabeth Arden makeup bag. This came as a GWP at Boots when I purchased two items. Keep reading to see what I’ve stashed inside!
Only two skincare products currently reside in my beautiful makeup bag, the Urban Decay Quick Fix spray and the Skinnydip Edition Carmex. I’m a long time Carmex fan, but this sugar plum variety was bought for me by my beautiful best friend as part of my birthday present last month. It smells amazing as does the trick – what more could you ask for? The UD complexion spray is a newer discovery to me. It’s a priming spray that is said to help with pore size, radiance and hydration. My skin has definitely been drying out recently, so I’m so in love with using this before my makeup and at night before my serum and moisturiser. Smells like coconuts too – bonus!
Inside my makeup bag is a whole host of base products. Pictured, Charlotte Tilbury’s Brightening Youth Glow, Light Wonder Foundation and Hollywood Flawless Filter, Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Concealer and Fenty Beauty’s Blotting Powder. These are game changers, especially the Hollywood Flawless Filter. I apply the Youth Glow all over the face with my fingers. Depending on the level of coverage I’m after, either leave it at that, apply concealer or apply foundation on top. Usually, it’s a dab of concealer around the nose and a few dots of the Hollywood Flawless Filter on the high points of the face. I then blend this out with my fingers. Check out a full review of this product coming soon! Since I purchased the Fenty Powder, it has been my ‘go-to’. It never looks chalky and absorbs oil rather than just leaves your face looking cakey. No ashy colour left behind either!
Two old favourites, two newbies. The Iconic London Highlighter Drops, OFRA Glazed Donut Highlighter, L’oreal’s Life’s a Peach blush and Back to Bronze bronzer. The beautiful blush with a touch of shimmer is so flattering on the skin but doesn’t settle into pores. The bronzer it matte but adds depth and warmth. The two highlighters are great for building up that glow from a slight sheen to a blinding pop (the latter being my personal preference).
The last five items in my bag are some of my favourite. For brows, the Iconic London Brow Sculpt and Boost cushion is revolutionary. It gives amazing definition and is so long lasting. For brow gel, it has got to be the Anastasia Beverly Hills clear brow gel. Brow hair will be held in place all day without an ounce of crispiness. I tend to switch up my mascara a lot, but currently I’m loving Urban Decay’s Troublemaker mascara. It gives beautifully fanned out lashes that hold a curl all day. My current ‘go-to’ lipstick is Pillow Talk by Charlotte Tilbury. It’s a low maintenance matte that is the perfect colour for tonnes of people. Finally, my eyeliner pencil of choice is, as always, Clinique’s Skinny Stick in Slim Sable. Great for smudging in between lashes to make them look fuller and thicker.
So, what do you think of my collection? What’s in your makeup bag currently?
